And that would wrap up the review tracks.   Lots of fantastic bands, and even more that didn't get played.   I have to say that I feel quite lucky to have been able to play all the bands I've been able to play over the past eleven months.   Some of those bands have even done me up some fantastic bumpers.

A bumper (or feature as some shows call them), is a audio recording from an artist, band or individual.  Anything from something very simple like them saying who they are and that you're listing to insomnia radio to something totally creative with music and sound effects.   Two Crown King did one where they mashed up each members voice into different parts.   Ro, from the Dark Compass podcast sent me one with sirens which holds a bit of an inside joke for me as many of his shows include sirens outside his house....   I always enjoy getting bumpers and seeing what folks come up with.   And many of  them get reused on future shows.

Up next, some new stuff....

https://www.facebook.com/owenshireband
https://twitter.com/owenshire
http://www.youtube.com/user/owenshire
https://soundcloud.com/owenshire

Owenshire is the solo project of Robert Muhlbock.  Rob is a professor at Fanshaw College in London ON.
In 2011, finally making good on his recurrent New Year's Resolution to "do something with [his] music," Robert Muhlbock began posting every song he has ever written to the internet under the official (and final) band name of Owenshire. Social networking profiles were registered, and artwork is being created as you read this.

In essence, Robert Muhlbock is living his life in reverse, filling in the years that were "supposed" to be filled with Owenshire albums, videos, interviews, and art. Owenshire have 11 albums worth of material: all sequenced and all titled. Once everything is posted to the internet, the real work begins: recruiting people to help turn each and every "live demo" into a fully-fledged studio song.

Amber says music is not just her passion, its her life, her soul and her purpose.
Her self-produced solo project “it”, a follow up the successful “tRip”, was released this
and is another example of the power in the perfect combination of styles and sounds. Along with
vocals not to be forgotten, Amber uses instruments, processors, samples and loopers to put
together her multi-faceted electronic musical creations. To her, they are not just tracks, they are
steps on her journey exploring her passions, and steps closer to achieving her dream life – which,
she would tell you, we are all meant to do.
